Taking email on the road --------
If you are planning a vacation or other trip, and don't feel like lugging your laptop computer, power supply, phone cable, etc., try using a web based e-mail service, such as at Yahoo.com, Hotmail or Bigfoot. These services can be reached at any cybercafe or computer kiosk, which are available in hotels, airports and other public places in major cities. If you absolutely have to be updated with the latest gossip, or other tidbit, and can afford to just get the first line or two of your email, try some of the mobile phone or pda options: HerMobile.com or SmartRay.com. Especially handy are the GSM-type mobile phones.
Tiplet: Most text enabled phones can get a text message even if only one of the 'antenna' bars of the signal meter is showing.
